This dramatic, imposing Lessona packs a substantial punch. More importantly, it shows what is possible in the appellation. I would cellar this for another year or two. There's a lot of wine here.

This has plenty of that elusive mineral, gritty, irony spice of Alto Piemonte, but its fine balance and overt minerality make it much nicer to appreciate now and in the next few years.
