Châteauneuf-du-Pape is bijna altijd rood, slechts één op de zestien flessen is wit. Dat maakt witte Châteauneuf tot een zeer exclusieve witte wijn. Als ‘ie dan ook nog eens van topproducent Le Clos du Caillou is, is het feest compleet.  Les Safres is een blend van witte Rhônedruiven grenache blanc, clairette en roussanne van gemiddeld 40 jaar oude stokken.
