The 2021 Uvaggio is a very pretty, understated wine. Crushed flowers, mint, incense, herbs and pipe tobacco give this mid-weight, nervy Lessona a good bit of aromatic presence.

The 2020 already shows a hint of evolution, as well as a strongly terroir-driven nose of chopped herbs and crushed stone. The acid is vigorous and the salty minerality is obvious on the finish.

The 2020 Uvaggio is a fabulous introduction to this range. Pliant, layered and wonderfully silky, the 2020 is all charm. This is an especially generous style, but it all works so well.

This dramatic, imposing Lessona packs a substantial punch. More importantly, it shows what is possible in the appellation. I would cellar this for another year or two. There's a lot of wine here.

This is terrific. The 2018 is wonderfully dynamic in the glass, revealing myriad shades of complexity over time. It's a deceptively understated wine with a ton to offer.
